NO WAY! Michael Busch Ties Cubs HR History with Yet ANOTHER Home Run

Coming into tonight’s game, Michael Busch had homered in four straight contests. The streak was notable enough for all the obvious reasons, but it was especially interesting because all four long balls came with two strikes and all four came on different pitches (slider, four-seamer, sweeper, changeup).

On top of that, if he managed to hit one more home run tonight, he’d make Cubs history, tying Christopher Morel, Sammy Sosa, Ryne Sandberg, and Hack Wilson as the only Cubs players in franchise history to homer in five straight games.

Well guess what? In his first at-bat of the game, Michael Busch got down to two strikes (check) and homered off a FIFTH pitch type, a cutter (check-check), making Cubs history in the process (check-check-check).

Check it out:

105.5 MPH off the bat, 419 feet and over the wall. Michael Busch is now hitting .340/.404/.760 (202 wRC+) on the season. Absolutely incredible.
