The Italian luxury fashion designer Roberto Cavalli passed away on Friday, 12 April 2024. 
Known for his signature sand-blasted jeans and pervasive use of animal print, Cavalli was the founder of the eponymous Italian fashion company Roberto Cavalli, which rose to fame in the 1970s.
Along with making a name for himself in the fashion industry, Cavalli also had a presence in the world of yachting as the owner of the 28-metre Cerri motor yacht Freedom.

Delivered in 2018 by her Italy-based shipyard, this chic sport boat yacht features an exterior and interior design both crafted by Studio Arch. Tommaso Spadolini, with naval architecture by penned in-house by Cerri Cantieri Navali (CCN).
Photo: CCNAt a volume of 130 GT, Freedom is capable of hosting as many as six guests across a three stateroom layout, while separate accommodation is also provided for up to three crew members.
Photo: CCNDuring his ownership of the yacht, Cavalli was able to enjoy the high speeds offered by this vigorous vessel. Powered by three MAN engines, Freedom can reach a cruising speed of 34 knots along with an impressive top speed of 40 knots.
