Lady Gaga Looks Insanely Cool in a Floor-Sweeping Leather Coat

Lady Gaga is ringing in her 38th birthday in style.

The Grammy-winning legend headed to Los Angeles celebrity hot spot Giorgio Baldi on Wednesday night for an early birthday dinner. (The actual big day is today.) The occasion provided an opportunity for Gaga to show off her jaw-dropping sense of style, executed in standout all-black pieces.

The centerpiece of her look was a long, floor-sweeping leather biker coat from Retrofête that featured a zipper running down the length of the center of the coat, as well as an array of zip-up pockets. A line of silver grommets studded an attached belt, which Gaga wrapped tightly around her abdomen to cinch her waist.

Underneath, Gaga appeared to wear black leggings, as well as a pair of lace-up stiletto boots with a towering platform (a detail that might have fans recalling her wardrobe from the Fame Monster era). She finished off the look with even more black accessories, including shield sunglasses and a glossy leather woven clutch, as well as a stack of silver necklaces.

Gaga has kept a low profile over the past few months, making very few public appearances. (One was a red-carpet event for pal Bradley Cooper’s Oscar-nominated Maestro.)

In January, she seemed to be teasing incoming music by posting a photo of herself in a recording studio on Instagram. Gaga dropped her last proper studio album, Chromatica, in May 2020. Since then, she has kept busy with acting gigs, following up her breakout performance in 2018’s A Star Is Born with roles like Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci in 2021 and Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, due out this fall.
