Beyoncé’s fourth No. 1 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart – and first completely solo – comes with “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which rises to the top of the March 2-dated tally.
“Texas Hold ‘Em,” which debuted at No. 4 on the Feb. 24 ranking, vaults to No. 1 via 29 million official U.S. streams Feb. 16-22, a boost of 51%, according to Luminate.
Beyoncé first reigned on Streaming Songs, which began in 2013, with “Drunk in Love,” featuring Jay-Z, which ruled for four weeks in 2014. She then led for a week in 2018 as a co-lead on Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” and her third topper came as a featured act on Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” in 2020.
Thus, “Texas Hold ‘Em” is Beyonce’s first Streaming Songs leader without any other act attached in a lead or featured role – eclipsing the No. 2 peak of “7/11” in 2014.
Between “Savage” and “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Beyonce reached Streaming Songs multiple times, paced by the No. 3 peak of “Break My Soul in 2022.
She becomes one of 10 acts with at least four No. 1s on Streaming Songs since its inception. Drake leads all acts with 20 rulers.
Concurrently, “Texas Hold ‘Em” spends a second week at No. 1 on Country Streaming Songs. The multimetric Billboard Hot 100, as previously reported, sees the song lift 2-1; in addition to its streams, the song earned 16.1 million radio audience impressions and 29,000 downloads.
“Texas Hold ‘Em” and counterpart “16 Carriages” (which appears at No. 36 on Streaming Songs, down from its No. 27 debut, via 8 million streams) are both from Beyoncé’s upcoming eighth studio album, which does not yet have a release date.
