AN employee from Taco Bell revealed how an iconic dessert dish actually gets made.
The fast food chain’s Cinnamon Sticks have become a fan-favorite staple.
An ex-employee named Erin (@Celticlight88) decided to use her TikTok to share insights about the twisted treats.
ROTINI BLISS
Taco Bell sells a serving of Cinnamon Sticks for $1.19 with 170 calories and has become a fan favorite.
The snack is so beloved, that it recently made a splash into the breakfast scene leaving fans thrilled.
It collaborated with Uber Eats to unveil Cinnamon Twists in cereal form.
However, despite being featured as a dessert, its ingredients may shock customers.
The chain describes them as, “Just a simple, innocent, delicious cinnamon sugar snack,” Erin said.
However, the treat is actually made from pasta.
“Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Twists are just deep-fried rotini noodles tossed in cinnamon sugar,” she said in her video.
The U.S. Sun reached out to Taco Bell for a comment.
BELL CONFESSIONS
Taco Bell employees don’t just have secrets about its dessert menu.
Another employee revealed how the popular Stacker is made and why so many people like it.
The Stacker is a crispy $2.19 tortilla that gets layered in beef before nacho cheese is spread all across it, according to the worker.
The tortilla is then folded like a quesadilla before being split into thirds.
He also spilled which menu item customers often forget about, the pintos N cheese.
While he called it the “worst” Taco Bell item, many foodie fans disagreed.
Taco Bell describes the $2.49 menu item as having an ideal “snack-sized portion of protein.”
But another Taco Bell employee made a more jarring confession.
Another TikToker shared that working at Taco Bell was the worst experience of her life.
She went even further to claim Taco Bell puts its frozen meat into a container of hot water instead of cooking it.
She also said the beans are prepared in a similar way.
Plus, the chain apparently isn’t immune to inflated prices.
A disgruntled customer’s old receipt revealed how much a beefy five-layer burrito used to cost in 2012.
