The plan covers illnesses including malaria, dengue, chikungunya, and swine flu, with protection for hospitalisation, diagnostics, and ICU stays.
Unlike seasonal plans, this insurance is valid throughout the year, the company said.
The new plan aims to reach users across the country, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where access to affordable health insurance has been limited. It also targets working professionals, offering supplementary coverage in addition to corporate health insurance, PhonePe said.
Vishal Gupta, CEO of PhonePe Insurance Broking Services, said the launch is part of the company’s effort to make insurance more accessible and affordable for all. The plan aims to eliminate financial barriers and provide comprehensive health coverage to underserved populations, especially through digital distribution.
Users can purchase and manage the plan through the PhonePe app, where they can complete the entire process, from policy selection to claim filing, digitally.
To avail the insurance, users can navigate to the Insurance section in the PhonePe app, select the Dengue & Malaria Insurance option, review the plan details, and complete the payment process in minutes.
