Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago turned into a spectacle this year as Tesla CEO Elon Musk joined US President-elect Donald Trump for a celebratory dinner at the Palm Beach resort. The event also saw actor Sylvester Stallone in attendance alongside members of the Trump family, including Melania Trump and their son Barron.

Musk and Trump were spotted dancing to the iconic 1978 disco anthem YMCA by the Village People. Videos circulating online captured the duo’s antics, with Musk showing off his moves while Trump gave him a pat on the shoulder to join the fun. Melania and Barron watched on.

Musk shared his reaction to the evening on his X account (formerly Twitter), writing, “Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!”

The moment quickly went viral, with one user commenting, “I love how DJT was setting up the chorus for @elonmusk.”

Another clip from the night revealed Musk deep in conversation with actor Sylvester Stallone. Fans speculated on their discussion amidst the blaring music, and Musk later satisfied their curiosity.

“I was telling @TheSlyStallone that I just watched Demolition Man again and how well it predicted the crazy woke future 30 years ago!” he wrote.

The Trumps’ Thanksgiving celebrations are traditionally family-focused, often featuring Trump’s children and grandchildren. This year, the guest list expanded to include Musk and his mother, Maye Musk. Eric Trump, Lara Trump, and Tiffany Trump were also present.

The evening came shortly after Trump shared a parody video on social media that lampooned prominent Democrats, including current President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi. The clip, styled as a tribute to the 1989 classic Christmas Vacation, added a layer of political commentary to the holiday cheer.

The choice of YMCA as the evening’s party anthem was no surprise, given its storied history. Released in 1978 by the Village People, the disco classic became a cultural phenomenon, with its signature arm movements spelling out the title’s letters at sporting events and parties alike.

Inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2020 and preserved in the US Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry, YMCA remains a symbol of joy and celebration. Its infectious energy was on full display at Mar-a-Lago, where even billionaires and politicians couldn’t resist its charm.
