At a review session with the Science and Technology Department officials, Boseraju highlighted Pilikula’s potential as a leading tourist destination. He pointed out that the extensive land at Pilikula Wildlife Sanctuary makes it an ideal location for such an ambitious development.
He further noted that a detailed plan for the transformation will be presented at the next meeting, and a formal proposal will be submitted as part of the upcoming state budget. Authorities have been instructed to fast-track the appointment of a consultancy agency to help implement the project.
In the same meeting, Boseraju also announced that the Department of Science and Technology will host a two-day Quantum Summit in July 2025. The event will showcase Karnataka’s advancements in quantum technology and promote global partnerships.
“Discussions are currently underway with international experts in quantum technology to facilitate knowledge sharing,” the statement said. “Minister Boseraju has urged officials to begin preparations without delay to ensure the success of the summit.”
