Exciting news for Henry Cavill: it’s a superbaby!
At the premiere for his new film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the Man of Steel star confirmed to Access Hollywood that he and his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso are expecting their first child together. “I’m very excited about it,” he said. “Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”
After the outlet suggested that his costar Henry Golding inspired him to become a dad, Cavill said, “He didn’t inspire me to do that, my parents did,” laughing.
Cavill and Viscuso made their relationship public in 2021. Viscuso is the vice president of Vertigo Entertainment, the production company involved with projects like It, Five Nights at Freddy’s and The LEGO Movie.
Cavill recently exited his two most prominent franchises: the DC Extended Universe, which is being rebooted under the direction of James Gunn with David Corenswet playing Superman, and The Witcher, which will Liam Hemsworth replace Cavill as Geralt in the forthcoming fourth season. However, Cavill and Viscuso will collaborate to launch a new TV franchise — Warhammer 40,000 — in partnership with Amazon.
Cavill’s next project, In the Grey, will reunite him once again with The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare director Guy Ritchie, who also helmed The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
The Ministry for Ungentlemanly Warfare also stars Eiza González, Henry Golding, Alan Ritchson, and Alex Pettyfer, and follows a group of English special ops during World War II. The film opens in theaters Friday.
