Watch: Trudeau dances at Taylor Swift’s concert amid anti-Israel riots in Montreal
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons these days. However, Trudeau once again attracted the fury of netizens after he was found dancing at a Taylor Swift concert while violent riots erupted in Montreal.

Violence erupted on the streets of Montreal on Friday as pro-Palestinian protesters clashed with the police, smashing windows and setting fire to cars, The Jerusalem Post reported citing local media. Protesters reportedly burned an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and launched small explosive devices and metal items at the police after an initially peaceful protest.

Police arrested three individuals for assaulting officers and obstructing police work as the cops resorted to using chemical irritants to disperse the protest. And where was Trudeau? The Prime Minister of Canada was attending a Taylor Swift concert when the riots were happening.

Trudeau Attracts Scorn After Attending Taylor Swift Concert

Trudeau was harshly criticised after videos went viral of him grooving to a Taylor Swift song while violent riots took place in his city. “This is real life. Montreal is burning and Justin Trudeau is dancing and handing out friendship bracelets to teenager girls at a Taylor Swift concert,” said a social media user.

Several netizens drew parallels between Trudeau and Roman Emperor Nero. “According to ancient tradition, the degenerate Emperor Nero got on stage and recited poetry while Rome burned. Here’s Trudeau dancing at tonight’s Taylor Swift concert after doubling the debt to $1.2 trillion and creating a housing crisis by opening Canada’s borders,” he said.

A user also said Trudeau “should be arrested just for the dance moves”. Another said, “A 52 year old man ——> acting like a 14 year old girl at Taylor Swift concert in Toronto.”

Trudeau On ICC Warrant Against Netanyahu

It is important to mention here that after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant against Netanyahu, Trudeau said his country will support and comply with the ICC warrants. “First of all, as Canada has always said, it’s really important that everyone abide by international law. This is something we’ve been calling on from the beginning of the conflict,” he said.

This move was harshly criticised by Canadian politicians. Quebec Senator Leo Housakos said on X, “Tonight, while Justin Trudeau is partying it up in Toronto, I was meeting with several members of the Jewish community of Montreal…The pro-Hamas crowd emboldened by Mr Trudeau’s pledge to arrest the Israeli PM. Hope you had fun at the concert, though, Justin.”

The Montreal riots took place after 85,000 Quebec students went on strike for two days to demand their universities divest from Israel. The groups accused NATO of approving the “genocide” and demanded a “final solution”, while performing Nazi salutes.
