Delhi wakes up to ‘very poor’ air quality, AQI in several areas remains ‘severe’
Delhi woke up to ‘very poor’ air quality on Sunday, November 24, morning, showing a slight improvement from the previous day’s ‘severe’ air quality, as per the Central Pollution Control Board.

At 7 am, the Air Quality Index was at 366, while on Saturday at 4 pm it was 412.

AQI between 0 and 5 is categorised as ‘good’, while 51 and 100 is ‘satisfactory’, between 101 and 200 it is ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 is ‘poor’, 301 and 400 is ‘very poor’, 401 and 500 is ‘severe’ and above 500 is ‘severe plus’.

However, several areas in the city continued to remain in the ‘severe’ category on Sunday, with the AQI going as high as 412.

Meanwhile, pollution levels in the Yamuna river continued to remain high as toxic foam was spotted floating on it on Sunday morning as well.
