Ayodhya is gearing up to celebrate the first anniversary of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ram temple. Preparations are in full swing to celebrate the auspicious occasion scheduled from January 11-13.
According to the temple trust, the event will host commoners and around 110 invited guests. It will feature classical cultural performances, rituals, and daily Ram katha discourses at the pavilion and Yagnashala.
Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said, “The trust has decided to invite common people who could not attend the initial consecration ceremony last year. They will be allowed to join all three days of events at Angad Teela.”
As per an official press note, the Ram Lalla ‘abhishek’ at the temple will be performed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on January 11. A German hangar tent with a capacity of 5,000 people has been installed at the Angad Teela site. The key venues for the festivities are the pavilion and Yagnashala, which will provide a rare opportunity for the public.
The invitation letters for the event have already been sent, mostly to those who missed the pran pratishtha ceremony last year.
The daily schedule includes Ram katha sessions, which will start at 2 pm, discourses on the Ramcharitmanas (manas pravachan) and cultural performances. Furthermore, prasad distribution is also planned for each morning to ensure a devotional and spiritual experience for the attendees.
The idol of Ram Lalla will be anointed, and a grand aarti will be performed at 12.20 pm on Paush Shukla Dwadashi, which falls on January 11. In 2024, the Ram Lalla idol was consecrated at the temple on January 22 in Ayodhya.
