The catchphrase “Punjabi aa gaye oye” (Punjabis have arrived) was made popular by Diljit, who made history as the first Punjabi singer to perform at Coachella in 2023. Since then, it has become both a slogan for his global domination and a collective fun of the Punjabi population around the world.

Diljit recently performed across the world as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour. In India, the Punjabi singer performed in major cities, including Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Indore and Guwahati, among others.

Coldplay will be performing at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 20. As part of their tour, they will also perform at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26. This is their first visit to India in over eight years after the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai in 2016.

Ahead of the concert, the Ahmedabad District Child Protection Unit has issued a notice to Coldplay and its lead singer, Chris Martin, prohibiting the entry of children under the age of 5 at the venue.

The notice also cautions the organisers to ensure that the sound levels remain under 120 decibels.
