The policy, meant to manage liquor sales in the city, failed to achieve its goals, with ordinary people suffering while AAP leaders allegedly gained from bribes.

Key findings in the CAG report:

Revenue Loss: The report estimates a loss of ₹2,026 crore to the public funds, attributing it to the flawed implementation of the excise policy.

Expert panel recommendations ignored: It was revealed that the Group of Ministers (GOM), led by former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, ignored recommendations made by an expert panel regarding the excise policy.

Assembly polls in Delhi will be held on February 5, and the votes will be counted on February 8. The last date to file nominations is January 17, and nominations will be scrutinized by January 18.
