Oberoi Realty appointed developer for Bandra Reclamation Slum Redevelopment Project

Real estate developer Oberoi Realty Ltd on Friday (January 10) said it has been appointed as the developer for a slum rehabilitation scheme on a 10,300-square-meter plot at Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai.

The Slum Rehabilitation Authority, Brihanmumbai, confirmed the appointment via a letter dated January 10, 2025.

“We write to inform you that the Slum Rehabilitation Authority, Brihanmumbai, has vide its letter dated January 10, 2025, confirmed the appointment of the Company as the developer in respect of the slum rehabilitation scheme for lands admeasuring approximately 10,300 sq. mtr. situate at Bandra Reclamation, Mumbai (said Land),” Oberoi Realty said in a regulatory filing.

The land, owned by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority, will be developed under the extant Development Control & Promotion Regulations for Greater Mumbai, 2034.

As part of the project, Oberoi Realty anticipates being entitled to a free-sale component of approximately 3.2 lakh square feet of RERA carpet area.

“The company expects to be entitled to a free sale component of around 3.2 lakh sq. ft. (RERA Carpet area) from the development and redevelopment of the said Land, as per the extant provisions of Development Control & Promotion Regulations for Greater Mumbai, 2034,” Oberoi Realty added.

Shares of Oberoi Realty Ltd ended at ₹2,130.00, down by ₹116.95, or 5.20% on the BSE.
