CES 2025 | Dell unveils simplified AI-Powered PC lineup, new accessories
The Consumer Electronics Show has always served as a staging ground for technology companies to showcase their latest products or concepts. This year’s show, hosted as always in Las Vegas, is no different, with several companies gearing up to show the world what’s up their sleeve, especially in the ever-evolving world of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Dell Technologies, the prominent PC-maker, announced the latest additions to its AI-powered PC portfolio. According to Dell, the redesigned lineup is tailored to boost creativity and productivity while simplifying AI adoption.

With a focus on performance, sustainability, and simplicity, Dell says its latest portfolio introduces unified branding across PCs, displays, accessories, and services, making it easier for customers to find the right solutions for thir needs.

The new portfolio features the latest chips from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm aimed at performance and AI capabilities.

Michael Dell, chairman and CEO of Dell Technologies, said the company is all-in on the transformative potential of AI in personal computing. “The PC is the most important personal productivity device of our lifetime, and it is being transformed by AI. Dell has driven PC innovation for the last 40 years, and we are well-positioned for this moment. Our new, streamlined portfolio of AI PCs is here to deliver the future of computing.”

Simplified Lineup

Dell has introduced a unified branding strategy to simplify purchasing decisions. The portfolio is divided into three categories:

Dell: Designed for everyday tasks like play, school, and work.

Dell Pro: Built for professional-grade productivity.

Dell Pro Max: Engineered for pro performance, handling intensive workloads and demanding applications.

This approach extends across displays, accessories, and services, ensuring a consistent and cohesive customer experience.

Key Features of the New Portfolio

  • Multi-Day Battery Life: Enhanced battery performance
  • Durability and Design: The Dell Pro lineup is said to offer three times more durability than competitors.
  • Thermal Innovations: Dell says improved airflow and patented thermal designs make this its quietest commercial laptop lineup to date.
  • AI Capabilities: Built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) technology powers AI-driven experiences, such as Copilot+ for productivity and real-time inferencing for AI applications.
  • Sustainability: Modular designs and increased use of recycled materials promote device longevity and environmental responsibility. Select devices also feature the world’s first modular USB-C port for easier repairs, Dell said.

Dell Pro AI Studio

To accelerate AI adoption, Dell has launched the Dell Pro AI Studio, the newest addition to its AI Factory. This toolkit is aimed at simplifying the development and deployment of AI applications on Dell PCs, regardless of the underlying hardware. By leveraging validated tools, frameworks, and templates, developers can reduce deployment time from six months to as little as six weeks.

Dell Pro AI Studio is designed to help businesses run AI models locally on PCs without the complexity of managing diverse hardware requirements.

Displays and Accessories

Dell has also expanded its display lineup, introducing what it says is the world’s first monitor with enhanced IPS Black technology, offering a 3000:1 contrast ratio and the highest eye comfort certification from TUV. Additionally, Dell unveiled a QD-OLED monitor with “AI-enhanced 3D spatial sound”.

Dell’s new AI PC portfolio and accessories will be available in the coming months, the company said.
