vivo launched the Y29 5G in the Indian market, a new addition to the Y series. The smartphone features a 6.64-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits brightness. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the Y29 5G is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 8GB of extended RAM as well as 256GB of storage. It is equipped with a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. It is available in three colours: Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, and Diamond Black and priced at ₹13,999 for 4GB + 128GB.
Lava Yuva 2
Lava has launched its latest Yuva 2 5G smartphone with a price tag of ₹9,499. The smartphone is offered with a backlight design that blinks while incoming calls and notifications. It is powered by the Unisoc T760 chipset and features a punch-hole design display and a dual-camera set-up at the back. It is available in two colourways: Marble Black and Marble White. The smartphone packs a 5000mAh battery and supports 18W wired charging.
Samsung microSD cards
Samsung has collaborated with SEGA to launch a new series of highly durable microSD cards based on the popular Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The microSD series combines both speed and durability, making them an attractive option for gamers and tech enthusiasts alike. It is available in four distinct variants and is designed to cater to different storage needs — 128GB – Knuckles the Echidna (Red icon), 256GB – Tails (Yellow icon), 512GB – Sonic the Hedgehog (Blue icon), 1TB – Shadow the Hedgehog (Black icon).
Xiaomi Pad 7
Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Pad 7 in the Indian market on January 10, after its October release in China. The news was made on Amazon.in’s promotional page, but precise specifications for the Indian model are still unknown. However, the photographs indicate that the maker will release the Bluetooth keyboard and stylus for the Pad 7 in the country alongside the tablet itself.
The Pad 7 is expected to mirror the Chinese model and to run on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS based on Android 15. The tablet will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Xiaomi Pad 7 starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹23,540) in China.
OPPO Reno 13 series
OPPO is all set to launch its Reno 13 series in India, according to the maker’s post on X. The company teased the series, but the actual date of the launch is not announced yet. Reportedly, the OPPO Reno 13 and the OPPO Reno 13 Pro are likely to be launched in January 2025. Initially launched in China, the series will run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The Reno 13 series is offered at ¥2,699 (approximately ₹31,429) for the 12GB + 256GB version in China. On the other hand, the Reno 13 Pro starts at ¥3,399 (around ₹39,581) for the same configuration.
