More than 800 children who were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine in Minalabac, Camarines Sur, back in October received Christmas gifts from GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to “24 Oras” on Wednesday, among the beneficiaries of the project are Mary Jane Custodio’s children.
Custodio’s home was flooded and their Christmas decorations left destroyed when Kristine hit their province months back. Their family also spent six days on the roof due to the calamity.
“Kahit ganun ‘yung nagyari, gamit lang ‘yan. Mapapalitan pa ‘yan basta importante buo kayo, buo ‘yung mga anak mo. Kahit mahirap ‘yung mga dumaan na araw, buo pa rin,” she said.
This Christmas, the children in Minalabac received pamasko through GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Give-A-Gift Alay sa Batang Pinoy Christmas Project.
Previously, the foundation distributed gift bags to a total of 2,100 kids in Batanes who were also hit by super typhoons in recent months.
The gift bags contained food, toys, and hygiene kits.
