Ola Electric expands network by fourfold to 4,000 stores nationwide

Ola Electric has significantly expanded its presence in India, increasing its network to 4,000 stores, a four-fold rise from its previous reach. The company has opened more than 3,200 new stores, each co-located with service centres, to support the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) across the country.

The EV maker had 800 company-owned stores as of December 2, 2024. Ola Electric’s Chairman and Managing Director, Bhavish Aggarwal, had announced a target of expanding the network by over four times and have 4,000 stores in India with just 19 days from early December.

This expansion extends beyond major cities and Tier 1 and Tier 2 areas, reaching smaller towns and tehsils, improving access to electric mobility in a broader range of locations. The move is part of Ola Electric’s strategy to make EVs more accessible to a larger population.

“With the opening of 4,000 stores, we are enhancing the EV purchase and ownership experience, reaching every city, town, and taluk, and fulfilling the promise of our #SavingsWalaScooter campaign,” Aggarwal said.

In line with the expanded network, Ola Electric is offering discounts of up to ₹25,000 on the S1 portfolio for customers visiting new stores on December 25, 2024. The offers include a flat ₹7,000 off on the S1 X models, along with additional benefits such as discounts on credit card EMIs and MoveOS features.

The company has also launched a limited-edition S1 Pro Sona, featuring 24-karat gold-plated elements, as part of a promotional contest. This model combines luxury with Ola Electric’s standard functionality.

Ola Electric is also offering priority registrations for MoveOS 5 beta, which includes new features like Group Navigation, Live Location Sharing, and Road Trip Mode powered by Ola Maps.

In addition to the S1 portfolio, Ola Electric recently introduced the Gig and S1 Z scooter range and announced the upcoming Roadster motorcycle series. These new offerings aim to address the varied needs of customers, from personal to commercial use, with a focus on affordability and reliability.
