The residential programme, scheduled to take place from January 7-11, 2025, is designed to equip chartered accountants with the specialised expertise required to address the needs of family businesses.
This programme aims to provide chartered accountants with a comprehensive understanding of family enterprises, helping them deliver tailored solutions that balance both family and business objectives.
It will also focus on strategies to position participants as trusted long-term advisors to family-run businesses.
The launch of this flagship program is part of ICAI’s broader efforts to enhance skill-building and innovation within the accounting profession.
As part of this initiative, ICAI plans to open eight more centres of excellence (CoEs) across India over the next three years.
Currently, ICAI operates CoEs in Hyderabad and Jaipur, with a third CoE scheduled for launch in Kolkata in January 2025.
ICAI has also rolled out other initiatives too aimed at supporting chartered accountants and students.
One of the innovations is the ICAI CA GPT platform, an AI-powered resource offering 19 specialised GPTs designed to support CAs with knowledge-sharing tools and resources.
Additionally, a certificate course on AI for ICAI members was launched in July 2024.
For students, ICAI has introduced a 75% fee concession for registration in all CA courses for candidates from select regions, including in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and the Northeastern states, until March 31, 2025.
