Ravichandran Ashwin shares his call log, thanks Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev

Now retired Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has shared a screen shot of his call-log on X. The call log shows that the veteran spinner received calls from cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev on the day when he announced his retirement from international cricket.

Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket on Wednesday after the Brisbane Test between India and Australia ended in a Draw.

The 38-year-old finished his international career with 765 wickets and as India’s second-highest wicket-taker in Tests (537) behind Anil Kumble.

In the limited-overs format, being part of the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy-winning teams would count among the major highlights of his 14-year career.

Ashwin played 116 ODIs for India, claiming 156 wickets, while his 65 T20 International outings yielded 72 scalps. His career began in 2010 in the one-day format before he made his Test debut a year later

The off-spinner, who was part of the Indian squad for the Test series against Australia, returned to India on Thursday.
