Now that she’s 18 years old, Sofia Pablo is now allowed to do certain things she wasn’t before.
On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Sofia said she can now learn how to drive and she’s now also allowed to go out with her friends.
“Kasi before, ‘pag lumalabas po ako, kailangan isa sa kanila kasama or tita ko. Ayaw nila akong hayaan mag-isa. Pero nung nag-18 ako, talagang ‘Gusto mo lumabas with your friends? Go with your friends.’ Pero siyempre nagpapaalam pa rin po ako,” she said, adding her family uses a location-sharing app to keep track of their whereabouts.
In the episode, Sofia was also asked if she’s now allowed to go out with Allen Ansay on their own. The Sparkle star said, “Opo, pinapayagan na kami ni mommy. Nakakapag-movie po kami.”
According to Sofia, she really loves going to the cinemas, while her mom tends to sleep during the film.
“One time, sabi po niya, ‘Sige, manood kayo ni Allen.’ Sabi ko ‘Ha? Totoo ba ‘yung naririnig ko? Kami ni Allen?’ Sabi niya, ‘Yeah, 18 ka na. Puwede na pero you know your limits,’” she said.
Sofia was then asked to complete the sentence: “Ngayong 18 na ako, sasagutin ko na si…”
“Si Allen,” she answered while laughing.
Sofia is set to star in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 entry “Green Bones” with Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid.
She and Allen will also be starring in the GMA Afternoon Prime series, “Prinsesa ng City Jail.”
