The Sukumar directorial collected ₹24.25 crore on its second Tuesday (December 17), taking its India collection to ₹953.3 crore across all languages, according to industry tracker sacnilk.com.
On Tuesday, the Hindi version of the film collected ₹18.5 crore, followed by ₹4.35 crore in Telugu, ₹1.1 crore from Tamil, ₹15 lakh from Kannada and ₹15 lakh from Malayalam. The film saw an overall Telugu occupancy of 21.78%, while the same for its Hindi version stood at 22%.
As of Wednesday, the total collection of the film in India has now reached ₹953.3 crore, with the Hindi version being the standout performer at ₹591.1 crore, followed by ₹290.9 crore in Telugu, ₹50.65 in Tamil, ₹6.87 in Kannada and ₹13.78 in Malayalam.
Meanwhile, the film’s gross
box office collection in India till day 12 stands at ₹1,109 crore.
Being a pan-India release, Pushpa 2: The Rule hit screens across the country across multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Bengali. It is being screened in 2D, 3D, IMAX as well as 4DX formats.
A sequel to the 2021 action drama Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa 2: The Rule is riding high on the success of the first film in the franchise and marks the return of Allu Arjun in his National Award-winning role of Pushpa Raj, fuelling huge expectations among the fans. The film also sees Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil reprising their roles as Srivalli and SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
Besides them, others featured in the film include Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
Pushpa 2: The Rule has already left behind SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 to emerge as the third-highest Indian grosser at the worldwide box office. It is now only behind Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 as well as the Aamir Khan-starrer Dangal.
Directed by Sukumar, the film has been backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
