This is the third order placed by UPSRTC with the company in the past year, bringing the total orders to over 3,500 units. The latest order was awarded through a competitive e-bidding process, with deliveries scheduled in phases based on mutually agreed terms.
The buses will be built on the Tata LPO 1618 diesel chassis, which the company claims has been engineered to support intercity and long-distance travel. This model is selected for its efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced passenger comfort.
