Senator Bong Revilla admitted that he has illegitimate children.
According to Lhar Santiago’s report in “24 Oras,” the lawmaker made the confession during the media conference of “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matigas na Misis” Season 3 on Saturday.
The senator said his wife, actress and Bacoor City Congressman Lani Mercado, and their six kids are aware of his love children.
“Alam ni Lani kung ano ‘yung totoo. Mayroon, mayroon,” he said. “Makikilala n’yo rin kung sino siya, kung sino sila,” he said.
“Hindi mo pupuwede itago ‘yon. Unfair ‘yon para sa mga bata. Kapag anak mo, anak mo ‘yon. Dugo mo ‘yon, mahalin mo ‘yon at hindi ko ikinahihiya ‘yong ganon,” Revilla added.
The actor married Mercado in 1986. They have six children, including politician Jolo and former teen actress Gianna.
Revilla currently stars in the third season of “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis,” alongside Beauty Gonzalez. It will begin airing on December 22.
“Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” is a remake of the 1994 action-comedy film of the same name. Bong reprised his role as Bartolome “Bart/Tolome” Reynaldo, while Beauty plays the role of Gloria, originally portrayed by his wife Mercado.
