Marian Rivera and Carlos Yulo each graced the double flip covers of PeopleAsia’s silver anniversary issue, in which the high society magazine named its roster for People of The Year 2025.
PeopleAsia hailed the Kapuso Primetime Queen as the Silver Screen Goddess and the Filipino two-time Olympic champ as the Golden Boy.
“From her P924-million hit Rewind to her Cinemalaya Best Actress win for gritty indie Balota, plus her trendsetting charm that helped give rise to the Molly, Skullpanda, and Labubu craze in the Philippines, one could say that everything Marian touches, indeed, turns to gold,” the local magazine wrote of Marian.
Meanwhile, Carlos was recognized for his historic wins at the 2024 Paris Olympics, a moment that filled the nation with pride.
Aside from Marian and Carlos, other People of The Year awardees include Senator Risa Hontiveros, Senator Loren Legarda, Kevin Tan, Ramon Orlina, Dr. Steve Mark Gan, Ronnie Ong, Bruce Winton, Col. Ariel Querubin, and Michael Leyva.
The PeopleAsia cover comes at the heels of Esquire Philippines naming Marian as Actress of the Year and her latest cover with L’Officiel Philippines.
Marian starred in the film “Balota,” for which she won her first Best Actress Award at the Cinemalaya Film Festival.
