Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Gujarat’s Bhuj, opening expected in FY26

Hospitality chain Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd on Friday (December 13) announced the signing of a new property in Bhuj, Gujarat. The upcoming Lemon Tree Hotel will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.

The hotel is expected to commence operations in FY 2026, further expanding Lemon Tree’s footprint in Gujarat, Lemon Tree Hotels said in a regulatory filing.

Lemon Tree Hotel, Bhuj, Gujarat will feature 74 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, meeting rooms, a banquet, a swimming pool, a fitness center and other public areas. The Bhuj Airport is about 9 kms away while the Bhuj Railway Station is about 4 kms away from the property.

Bhuj, a historic city in Gujarat, is known for its rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship. It is the administrative capital of the Kutch district, featuring landmarks like the Aina Mahal and nearby Bhujodi village, famous for handwoven textiles.

Lemon Tree Hotels reported a 32.6% year-on-year (YoY) surge in net profit at ₹35 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Lemon Tree Hotels posted a net profit of ₹26.4 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 24% to ₹284.4 crore as against ₹ 229.4 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal. At the operating level, EBITDA rises 25.6% to ₹130.8 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹104 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

On Friday (December 13), shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd ended at ₹147.85, up by ₹1.25, or 0.85% on the BSE.
