First all-women operated hotel in Madhya Pradesh inaugurated; state wins top adventure tourism award

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the MP tourism corporation’s first exclusively all-women operated hotel Amaltas in Pachmarhi, a popular tourist destination. The unique hotel will be operated only by women, a step that reinforces the state’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment.

While inaugurating the hotel, Yadav noted that due to the combined efforts of all stakeholders, Madhya Pradesh has seen a remarkable rise in tourism, with around 11 crore visitors in 2024. During his address, Yadav emphasised the pivotal role of women in Indian culture, both in mythology and in society, referring to them as the “pillars of the family”.

He highlighted how India is often symbolised as a motherland, evoking deep reverence and patriotism, with the names of goddesses frequently preceding those of gods. The CM interacted with female staff at the hotel and presented them with gifts as a gesture of appreciation.

Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s continued push to establish the state as a top adventure tourism destination has earned it national acclaim. At the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India’s (ATOAI) national convention in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, the state was awarded the ‘Best Adventure Tourism State’ title.
