The government of India has approved 40 projects across 23 states, totalling Rs 3,295 crore, aimed at beautifying tourist hotspots to boost tourism, with Jaipur’s projects being among key developments.
The Jal Mahal project’s goal is to enrich the current tourism experience by integrating both tangible and intangible cultural heritage elements. Key components of the Rs 96.61 crore development include the Man Sagar Aeration, promenade development, a nature trail, landscaping, the Craft-Cuisine-Celebration (3C) Night Bazaar, a synchronised water ballet show titled ‘Ghumro,’ as well as a ridge walk and skywalk extending from Gadh Ganesh to the Baldev Parshuram Temple. The project is expected to generate approximately 8,000 jobs, the statement added.

Jal Mahal, is a stunning example of Mughal and Rajput architectural fusion, located in the center of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. Built in the 18th century, the palace has five floors, four of which are submerged in the lake, creating a striking reflection on the water.
Meanwhile, the Amber-Nahargarh development project, estimated at Rs 49.31 crore, will focus on enhancing the historic fortification hiking trail connecting Amber, Nahargarh, and Gaitor ki Chhatri. This includes restoring damaged fort walls, adding pause points, redeveloping the Amber Visitor Precinct, improving landscaping, rejuvenating Maota Lake, and enhancing the Parion ka Bagh area. The project is likely to create 4,000 jobs, the government release added.
