Addressing the media, Ojha noted that he was aligned with AAP’s ideology focused on the future of children. He termed the development of education as his biggest ambition.
“I want to thank Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia for giving me a chance to work in the field of education in politics,” PTI quoted Ojha as saying.
Ojha’s entry into politics comes ahead of the high-on-stakes 2025 Assembly elections in the national capital, due early next year. The ruling party is eying a third consecutive term in the Delhi Assembly after two back-to-back wins.
Who is Avadh Ojha?
Born on July 3, 1984, in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda, Ojha is among the highly regarded teachers in the civil services coaching sector. Over the past several years, he is said to have helped thousands of students achieve success in the top UPSC examination.
Hailing from a middle-class family, Avadh Ojha’s father, Shrimata Prasad Ojha, used to work as a postmaster. He made several financial sacrifices to support Avadh Ojha’s education, The Times of India reported.
After successfully clearing the prelims exam, he failed to clear the UPSC mains examination and later started focusing on coaching future aspirants in the country.

Over the years, Avadh Ojha created a reputation for himself in the sector and became widely popular for his teaching style, especially in the subject of History.

Ojha earlier founded the IQRA IAS Coaching in Pune and to date, he continues to teach and mentor young aspirants there.
