The shop, named Mustafa Jewellery, which held the contest, declared him as the winner of the lucky contest last Sunday.

On 24th November, we witnessed history being made as the grand winner of USD 1,000,000 was revealed amidst cheers and excitement,” the store captioned the post in which it shared a video capturing the major highlights from the event.

In another post, it said, “Congratulations to our Grand Lucky Draw Winner! After 14 incredible months of hosting monthly lucky draws, the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. We are thrilled to announce our Grand Lucky Draw winner, who takes home an unbelievable USD 1,000,000!”
To be eligible to participate in the lucky draw, the customers were required to spend more than ₹15,786 on jewellery. During his visit to the store, Chithambaram bought ornaments worth around ₹3.7 lakh for his wife.
After winning the prize money, Chithambaram said he was feeling blessed, adding it was also his father’s fourth death anniversary. He added that he now plans to donate a portion of the prize money to the community as a token of gratitude.

As the news about Chithambaram winning the lucky draw went viral, it also caught the attention of the Singapore High Commission in India which posted a congratulatory message for him.
