December F&O Series: Here are the key triggers to watch out for


The December F&O series begins from Friday’s trading session. The Nifty shed 300 points in the November series, in what was its second straight negative F&O series. Historically, there is no clear trend as to how the December series has panned out for the Nifty. Over the last four years, the index has seen two positive and two negative series.

The Nifty had declined 2,000 points in the October series, which had followed a 1,064 point surge in September and a 746 point gain in October.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Friday (November 29) he had “good and positive” discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda on the issue of government formation in the state.

Shinde said the decision on the next chief minister of Maharashtra will be taken up in another meeting of the Mahayuti coalition in the state capital.Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, met Shah and Nadda late Thursday (November 28) to thrash out a power-sharing pact for the next government in Maharashtra after the BJP-led coalition registered a thumping majority in the Assembly elections.

Amit Shah credits government’s firm policies for success against terrorism, insurgency, and narcotics

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said significant success has been achieved in the past 10 years against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, left-wing extremism, insurgency in the northeast and narcotics, the four major challenges before the country.
