NTT Research CEO explains the approach behind its ‘Tsuzumi’ GenAI model
Kazuhiro Gomi, President & CEO, of NTT Research believes that enterprise AI is the most impactful use case for generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).

Gomi was discussing the pros and cons of GenAI in a conversation with CNBC-TV18.

Instead of having one large language model (LLM), which requires immense training costs and power consumption, NTT’s GenAI model, Tsuzumi’s, approach is to have several smaller LLMS, making it more sustainable.

NTT’s Gen AI model is named after a traditional Japanese musical instrument.

NTT is Japan’s leading global tech company which operates as a mobile operator and provides infrastructure, networks, applications, and consulting services.
