
The elections are being held across all 70 constituencies in a single phase. The polling will be on till 6.30 pm.
As many as 1.56 crore eligible voters are expected to exercise their franchise, including 83.76 lakh male voters, 72.36 lakh female voters and 1,267 third-gender voters. Also, 733 polling stations have been designated especially to assist those with disabilities.

The ECI has also deployed 220 companies of paramilitary forces, 35,626 Delhi police personnel and 19,000 home guards across all the polling stations to maintain law and order.
Over 21,500 ballot units and VVPAT machines have been set up. Dummy and braille ballot papers have also been introduced to help the visually impaired voters.
The ongoing elections are expected to be a close contest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. AAP is eyeing a third term, while Congress is aiming at regaining lost ground as it has failed to win a single seat in the past two elections. The BJP is eyeing ending its electoral drought in Delhi make a significant impact.

The Delhi Assembly election results will be declared on February 8.
