The wicketkeeper batter who also has a plenty of captaincy experience in the IPL will attract attention from the likes of Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings. Mitchell Starc | Base Price: Rs 2 crore | As things stand Mitchell Starc is the most expensive player in the history of the league. The pacer created the record when Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for Rs 24.50 crore at the last year’s auction. But the way things are shaping up, Starc may no longer hold the title. However, it will be interesting to see where the left-arm fast bowler heads to. By picking 17 wickets last season including crucial scalps in the playoffs, Starc demonstrated that he can still be a valuable asset for any IPL team. (Image: IPL)

Arshdeep Singh | Base Price: Rs 2 crore | Arshdeep Singh became one of the most prominent faces of Punjab Kings. But in a strange move the team management decided not to retain Arshdeep. The left-arm fast bowler has become one of India’s top pacers in T20 cricket. Arshdeep bowls the difficult overs as he bowls at the start of the innings and towards the end. It will be interesting to see if the Kings use their RTM card for Arshdeep. (Image: IPL)

5) Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Indian seam and swing bowlers controlling powerplay overs are a rare commodity and experience isn't readily available in the Supermarket. He might not grab eyeballs but if he remains under Rs 10 crore, he could still be a bargain buy and world knows MS Dhoni (CSK's 'Real Captain') likes experienced blokes around him.

6) Jos Buttler: It is unlikely that Yashasvi Jaiswal will get to pair up with his favourite 'Jos Bhai' but the Englishman, in the absence of Ben Stokes, could well be the highest paid foreign player. It won't be a surprise if RCB, factoring in the batting paradise at Chinnaswamy and the short side boundaries, go the distance for him with INR 83 crore in kitty.
