Charlie Sheen’s neighbor has been arrested and charged with assault after allegedly attempting to strangle the Two and a Half Men star earlier this week.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Sheriff’s Information Bureau confirmed that Malibu/Lost Hills officers responded to a “battery/disturbance call” in Malibu at 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
“Upon contacting the parties involved, deputies identified Charlie Sheen as a victim of assault,” a statement obtained by EW reads. “The suspect, Electra Schrock, was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Force Likely to Create Great Bodily Injury, 245(a)(4) PC, and Residential Burglary.”
A representative for Sheen did not immediately respond to EW’s request for comment.
Sheen’s neighbor allegedly knocked on his front door and then attacked him when he answered, reported TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources. The outlet, which was the first to report the news, stated that she ripped Sheen’s shirt and attempted to strangle him before fleeing back to her home.
The Bookie actor reportedly did not require medical attention after the alleged attack.
A source close to Sheen also told TMZ that he’d had multiple incidents with his neighbor before her arrest on Wednesday, claiming that she’d recently squirted a sticky liquid on his car and dumped trash on his doorstep. The source said that after she allegedly defaced his vehicle, Sheen spoke with her and the pair seemed to be on good terms before the incident on Wednesday
Schrock is set to appear in court on Dec. 26.
