On the shoulders of a tremendous defense, No. 16 Iowa football (10-2, 7-2 in conference play) is on the cusp of its first Big Ten championship, since the 2004 season.
Between the Hawkeyes and conference supremacy: undefeated, second-ranked Michigan. The Wolverines are heavily favored over Kirk Ferentz and Co. during Saturday’s college football championship slate.

The Hawkeyes have allowed just two rushing touchdowns this season, the fewest in the college football, and 13 touchdowns, tied for the fewest in the Big Ten with Ohio State. The defense will be a major storyline as Ferentz tries to slow down a Michigan offense that leads the Big Ten with 59 touchdowns scored.
Iowa’s offense has not put up big numbers this season, and can’t turn the ball over against Michigan, as the Wolverines have pounced on opportunities to take advantage of their opponent’s mistakes by scoring 85 points off 21 turnovers this season.
