The 2024 Assembly election in Maharashtra witnessed sons, daughters, nephews and cousins of political heavyweights vying for power. And in some seats, the members of the same family faced each other. 1. Aaditya Thackeray:  Aaditya Thackeray, the son of former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, has secured a second consecutive term from the Worli seat in Mumbai, defeating Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena candidate Milind Deora by 8,801 votes. (Image: PTI)

3. Rohit Pawar:  Rohit Pawar, the grandson of veteran leader Sharad Pawar, is entering the Maharashtra Assembly on an NCP-SP ticket from Karjat Jamkhed.
