“What, like it’s hard?”
Unsurprisingly, this is the line most quoted at Reese Witherspoon, the Hollywood actress revealed to GMA’s Lyn Ching during an interview for upcoming film “You’re Cordially Invited.”
“Hands down, people say to me, maybe every day, [from] ‘Legally Blonde,'” she said, before reciting, “What, like it’s hard?”
“Every day of my life,” she added. “And people say to me, when I’m in a bar… a baby, in a bar.”
The second line is from the equally iconic “Sweet Home Alabama,” which goes: “You have a baby in a bar?”
Reese’s “You’re Cordially Invited” co-star Will Ferrell, meanwhile, said that what’s yelled at him the most isn’t from any movie he’d done.
“The most thing that’s yelled at me is, ‘Hey, get out of my property,'” he said. “‘This is private property, get out of here.’ That’s what’s yelled at me the most.”
The stars said it was difficult for them to choose their favorite movie roles, but they agreed that working on “You’re Cordially Invited” was a lot of fun.
“This was one of the most fun experiences I’ve had on a movie. We just had the best time,” Reese said.
Will added, “Yeah, it was easy. And an easy doesn’t necessarily equate to the best film… but this was both. And that’s so special when it works out like that.”
Lyn meanwhile took to Instagram to share how delighted she was to meet two of her “favorite actors and comedy geniuses.”
“Wow… It does not get any better than this,” she said. “They were so accommodating and sweet!”
She shared that when she asked for a photo, Reese told her, “Of course, you came all this way from the Philippines. Let’s stand to take the photo.”
“They both appreciated that I traveled across the world to meet them but honestly, it was an honor and my absolute pleasure,” Lyn wrote. “Seriously have more reasons to love them both.”
“You’re Cordially Invited” is set to premiere on Prime Video on January 30.
