Here’s why Heart Evangelista loves working with Filipino brands

Heart Evangelista continues to champion Filipino brands through her influence and platforms, celebrating local businesses’ ability to provide exceptional products.

In a press conference for her newest partnership with Filipino makeup brand Get Ready With Me Cosmetics, Heart agreed that nothing truly compares to working with her kababayans.

“I would be nothing without the Philippines. I mean, if you look at my percentage on Instagram, my following is Philippines,” she said.

The Kapuso Global Fashion Icon knows to herself that she will always come back to the Philippines, which she called her home and where her dreams came true.

“Everything else outside is just a little cherry on top. Kaya ito talaga ‘yung kabuuan ng career ko. They support me, I support them no matter what,” she said.

Heart also applauded GRWM Cosmetics’ owner, Mae Layug, for delivering beauty products that fit the Filipino consumers’ needs.

“She thinks of the smallest detail according to our features, and even the shades, the tone of our eyeshadows—you have to study it. It’s scientific,” Heart said. “That’s why I love working with local brands, kasi hindi mo na kailangang test ka nang test kasi you know it will automatically look good on us, so nakakatuwa.”

The GRWM Face Card Eye Collection is launching on November 29. Prices have yet to be announced.

Heart currently has a reality show, “Heart World,” which airs on GMA Network every Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

In October, the Sparkle star ranked no. 1 in Launchmetrics‘ list of Paris Fashion Week celebrities after delivering a whopping $10.6M in media impact value (MIV).

She said that her achievement is “for us Filipinos.”

“I mean, to be put on the map, that says a lot na deserving tayo of all the luxury that our country is worth investing on when it comes to putting up stores,” Heart said. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
