In the campaigning for the 2024 elections, Bagwe criticised the incumbent administration over “lack of civic amenities” in the region and promised to bring changes and help improve the quality of life to the residents.
Sunil Kamble, on the other hand, has reportedly promised to set up a cancer hospital, besides free dispensaries, completion of the Lahuji Vastad memorial as well as economic empowerment of women in the region.
This time, Kamble is backed by the ruling Mahayuti that comprises BJP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
In Maharashtra, polling for the 2024 Assembly election was conducted in a single phase on Wednesday, November 20, covering all 288 seats, including Pune Cantonment. The result is likely to be declared on November 23.
