Bengaluru, often dubbed India’s ‘Silicon Valley’, serves as a key hub for technology and innovation; Bhubaneswar, known as the ‘Temple City’, is rapidly becoming a centre for tourism and economic growth; and Hyderabad, also referred to as the ‘City of Pearls’, stands out as a prominent IT and pharmaceutical hub. These cities are now more accessible to travellers from Patna, offering new opportunities for business and tourism.
To mark the occasion, a celebratory event was held at Patna Airport, where the inaugural flights to Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, and Hyderabad were launched with great enthusiasm.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Airport Authority of India, Air India Express, and other key stakeholders at Jay Prakash Narayan Airport, Patna. As part of the celebrations, special boarding passes were given to the first passengers on these inaugural flights, symbolising Air India Express’s commitment to delivering memorable travel experiences.
This launch marks a significant milestone for Air India Express, which is undergoing rapid expansion as it approaches a fleet of 100 aircraft. The airline recently added Patna to its domestic network, joining destinations like Dimapur, Dibrugarh, Sri Vijay Puram (Port Blair), and Jammu, as well as international routes to Bangkok and Phuket. The expansion reflects the airline’s strategic focus on broadening its footprint and enhancing connectivity.

Thanks to this growth, Air India Express has increased its winter schedule by 30% compared to the previous year, now operating over 400 daily flights—up from just over 325 during the same period in 2024. With its expanding network, the airline is well-positioned to offer more choices and better connectivity for travellers across India and beyond.
