This rally added nearly ₹6 lakh crore to investor wealth, with Reliance Industries leading the charge. Meanwhile, tomorrow at 8 am, vote counting for Maharashtra’s assembly elections kicks off. Political alliances are on edge, with both the MVA and Mahayuti confident about forming the next government.

Adani Group stocks had a rollercoaster day but bounced back from early losses despite ongoing bribery allegations. In the end, 10 out of 11 Adani stocks finished in the green. Zepto, the quick commerce platform, raised $350 million in a funding round led by Motilal Oswal Private Wealth. NTPC Green Energy’s ₹10,000 crore IPO was fully subscribed by Day 3, showing strong investor interest.

Market ends at 1-week high ahead of Maha poll results; ₹7 lakh cr investor wealth added

The Sensex rose more than 2,000 points on Friday, making an intraday high of 79,218.19, while the Nifty is trading above the 23,800 mark today. Reliance Industry Ltd. is the top contributor in the Nifty50 index. Close to ₹6 lakh crore in investor wealth was added in today’s trading sessions.

Nifty PSU Bank, Oil and Gas, IT, and Realty were among the major sectoral gainers. Nifty PSU Bank witnessed a sharp recovery today and was trading higher by 2.98%.

Rupee ended the day at 84.45/$ against Thursday’s close of 84.49/$.

The top five market cap gainers this week are as follows: HDFC Bank Ltd, which saw an increase of ₹40,393 crore, bringing its market cap to ₹1,334,418 crore; Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, which gained ₹36,036 crore, raising its market cap to ₹1,536,150 crore; Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, with an increase of ₹25,405 crore, bringing its market cap to ₹374,675 crore; Power Grid Corp of India Ltd, which rose by ₹23,065 crore, reaching a market cap of ₹313,430 crore; and Varun Beverages Ltd, which gained ₹21,310 crore, increasing its market cap to ₹208,518 crore.

The top five market cap decliners this week are as follows: Adani Green Energy Ltd, which saw a decrease of ₹69,365 crore, bringing its market cap down to ₹166,704 crore; Adani Enterprises Ltd, which dropped ₹68,818 crore, lowering its market cap to ₹257,342 crore; Adani Power Ltd, with a reduction of ₹34,172 crore, bringing its market cap to ₹177,708 crore; Adani Ports & Special Economic, which declined by ₹27,412 crore, bringing its market cap to ₹245,716 crore; and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, which saw a decrease of ₹27,389 crore, lowering its market cap to ₹78,011 crore.

10 of 11 Adani Group stocks turn positive amid volatility after $27 billion route

Adani Group stocks are witnessing sharp fluctuations in Friday’s trading session after initially extending losses from Thursday’s fall.

Shares of Adani Ports, which fell as much as 6% at the start of trade have now turned positive. Adani Enterprises, which fell 7% in early trading, have also recovered all of their losses.

However, it must be noted that Adani Enterprises is in the F&O ban, which means no new positions can be created in the stock, however, existing positions can be dealt with.

White House reacts to bribery allegations against Adani

Reacting to the Adani bribery case, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said they’re aware of the allegations against the Adani Group, though SEC and DOJ would be able to shre the specifics .

“On the US and India relationship, we believe that it’s extremely strong foundation anchored ties between our people and cooperation across a full range of global issues. And so, we believe and we’re confident that we’ll continue to navigate this issue, as we have with other issues that may have come up… But, again, we believe that this relationship between India and the U.S. has been built on a strong foundation,” the White House said.

IPO-bound Zepto raises $350 million in mega domestic funding round

Quick commerce platform Zepto has raised $350 million in its third funding round this year, led by Motilal Oswal Private Wealth. The funding round attracted investments from prominent investors and family offices, including Motilal Oswal AMC and Raamdeo Agarwal, the Taparia Family Office, Mankind Pharma Family Office, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, Cello Family Office, Haldiram Snacks Family Office, Sekhsaria Family Office, Kalyan Family Office, Happy Forgings Family Office, and Mothers Recipe Family Office (Desai Brothers). Celebrity investors such as Sachin Tendulkar and Abhishek Bachchan also participated.

Zepto’s valuation remains steady at $5 billion. The funding adds to Zepto’s impressive 2024 trajectory, which has seen the company raise over $1 billion.

NTPC Green Energy’s ₹10,000-crore IPO fully subscribed on Day 3

NTPC Green Energy’s initial public offering (IPO) sailed through on Friday, November 22, at around 10:55 am receiving bids for 100% of the shares on offer, according to information sourced from the National Stock Exchange.The issue had opened for subscription earlier in the week and will conclude today.

The retail investors portion was subscribed 2.63 times, while qualified institutional bidder (QIB) had bid for 75% of the shares on offer.

NDMC launches aggressive cleaning drives to tackle Delhi’s air pollution crisis

The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) undertook several steps to combat the alarming levels of air pollution in the capital, conducting night cleaning drives as well as sweeping operations across Delhi on Friday. The Vice Chairman of NDMC, and a leader of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Kuljeet Singh Chahal, was present at the drive, leading the initiative.

The cleaning drive began in Khan Market, with a resolution by the staff of NDMC to expand to other parts that fall under the corporation across the capital city of Delhi. The goal of the initiative is to attain a “garbage-free NDMC”.

Vladimir Putin threatens to strike US and UK as war between Russia and Ukraine escalates
