Cable television distribution company Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd on Tuesday (January 14) reported a 39.3% year-on-year (YoY) decline in net profit at ₹13.6 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Hathway Cable & Datacom posted a net profit of ₹22.4 crore.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 1.3% to ₹511.2 crore against ₹504.6 crore in the year-ago period.

At the operating level, EBITDA rose 1.3% to ₹83.1 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹82.1 crore in Q3 of FY24. The EBITDA margin was flat at 16.3% in the reporting quarter. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
Hathway Cable & Datacom provides cable television services through its wholly-owned subsidiary — Hathway Digital Private. Hathway Cable holds a pan-India ISP licence and was the first cable television services provider to offer high-speed cable broadband services.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Hathway Cable and Datacom Limited ended at ₹15.26, up by ₹0.71, or 4.88%, on the BSE.
