Trixie Mattel responded to the statement of Cronasia Foundation College, Inc., the General Santos City school that used her image as part of its graduation photo makeup guidelines.
Cronasia previously apologized to Trixie and the drag community after the photo went viral, saying that their post may have “caused confusion and unintended frustration.”
In a TikTok video, Trixie clarified that they were not offended by the post and called the graphic “humorous.”
“You know, you could have posted a picture of a clown. You could have posted a picture covered in body paint. Like, you know, just a humorous example of a lot of makeup,” they said.
“I was not offended. I think it’s funny. I mean, I love it. It didn’t bother me at all,” they added. “I don’t think it was bad.”
Trixie said they thought the post was hilarious.
“I wouldn’t recommend looking like me for your graduation pictures, either,” they joked.
In previous social media posts, Trixie was amused by the school’s infographic and said, “Damn!”
Trixie Mattel is an American drag artist and the winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 3.
