The Adani Group will allocate ₹60,000 crore to expand power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh. This investment is expected to increase Chhattisgarh’s power generation capacity by an additional 6,120 MW, further solidifying the state’s position as a key energy hub, the statement said.
In addition to energy, Adani committed ₹5,000 crore towards expanding the group’s cement plants in Chhattisgarh. This move is anticipated to enhance the production capacity of Adani’s cement facilities and drive growth in the state’s construction sector.
Responding to Chief Minister Sai’s suggestion, Adani pledged an additional ₹10,000 crore over the next four years for initiatives under the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework. These funds will focus on education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism.
“Our commitment extends beyond business growth to the holistic development of the regions where we operate,” Adani assured.
The discussion also touched on the possibility of partnerships in defence equipment manufacturing, establishing data centres, and creating a Global Capability Centre in Chhattisgarh. These proposals aim to diversify the state’s industrial base and attract further investment.
