Earlier, it was reported that the actor had suffered a heart attack, but his wife, Deepti Talsania, clarified that it was a brain stroke.
In a conversation with NDTV, Deepti shared that Tiku had attended a film screening on January 10 and started feeling unwell at around 8 in the evening. “He suffered a brain stroke, not a heart attack. He was immediately admitted to the hospital,” she said.
Actress Rashami Desai, who was present at the premier attended by Tiku Talsania on Friday evening, stated that he is better now.
“The meeting was very good. Sir (Tiku Talsania) is a wonderful person and actor. It was very unfortunate whatever happened yesterday. He looked absolutely perfect when he came. While I was a little away I was busy meeting people. He reached on time and things are better now. He is better now, we pray for his speedy recovery,” Rashami told Moneycontrol.

Talsania started his acting career in 1984 with the TV show Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. The actor made his Bollywood debut in 1986 with the films Pyaar Ke Do Pal, Duty, and Asli Naqli.
The actor has had an illustrious career in Bollywood, with memorable comedic roles in films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Raju Chacha, Hungama, Andaz Apna Apna, Coolie No. 1, Raja Hindustani and Dhamaal. The actor also showcased his versatility with a serious role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas.
He last appeared in the 2024 film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri.
Tiku Talsania is married to Deepti, and the couple is parent to two children, Rohaan and Shikha, who is also an actor. Shikha Talsania has featured in films like Veere Di Wedding, Satyaprem Ki Katha and Potluck.
