The relaxation in the bail terms comes after the counsel for Pushpa 2: The Rule star requested an exemption from appearing at the Chikkadapally police station every Sunday, citing security concerns, reports stated.
Allu Arjun has also been granted permission to travel abroad. The court’s order comes a day before the actor was scheduled to appear before police.
The Telugu superstar was arrested last month in connection to the stampede at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre during the show of his latest release Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4.
The actor’s visit to the theatre reportedly triggered a large gathering of fans hoping to catch a glimpse of him. The overcrowding led to a tragic incident, resulting in the death of a woman, while her son was severely injured and has been hospitalised since.
Allu Arjun was arrested by the police in connection to the case on December 14 and presented before the Nampally court, which remanded him to 14 days of judicial custody. Subsequently, the Telangana High Court granted the actor interim bail for four weeks on a personal bond of ₹50,000.
The actor was granted regular bail in the case on January 13.
Allu Arjun was also grilled by Hyderabad Police in connection with the matter. The police reportedly are likely to file a plea in court to challenge Allu Arjun’s bail, claiming that the actor was asked to leave Sandhya Theatre on December 4 but refused, which led to the stampede. Allu Arjun has been named as ‘accused No 11’ in the case.
Earlier this week, the actor met the boy, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was joined by Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Chairman Dil Raju during the visit.
