On Friday, a detailed presentation regarding the development plan was shared with Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The proposal involves transforming the 33-acre area surrounding Topchanchi Lake into a comprehensive tourist hub, an official told PTI.
The planned development will feature a range of attractions, including a resort, junction, plaza, activity park, central park, nature park, motorsports park, music park, food plaza, cafeteria, and facilities for boating and go-karting.
“The state government prioritises the eco-friendly enhancement of Topchanchi Lake, aiming to establish it as a top-tier tourist spot,” said the Chief Minister.

“Efforts are being made to promote tourism so that both domestic and international visitors can experience the natural beauty of our state,” he added.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of fostering stronger coordination between the tourism, forest, and urban development departments to establish Jharkhand as a major tourism hub.
Additionally, CM Soren instructed officials to ensure that the development of tourist spots creates job opportunities for local communities.
Meanwhile, the ‘Samvidhan Gaurav Abhiyan’ will be launched in Jharkhand on January 15 to celebrate the Constitution, spread awareness about its values and highlight the contributions of its architect, Dr BR Ambedkar, in the lead-up to Republic Day celebrations on January 26, a BJP official said on January 10.
BJP state coordinator Amar Kumar Bauri said, “The campaign will be held nationwide from January 11 to January 25.” He added, “The party’s membership drive is already underway in the state. Considering the busy schedule of workers, the Samvidhan Gaurav Abhiyan will be held in Jharkhand from January 15 to January 25.”
Bauri said as part of the campaign, the BJP would raise awareness about how the Congress allegedly “insulted Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.” He also emphasised the central government’s efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to uphold and promote Ambedkar’s policies and ideas.
