The fund’s New Fund Offer (NFO) opens on January 8, 2025, and closes on January 22, 2025.

It promises to offer investors a unique opportunity to focus on high-quality businesses that exhibit resilience during periods of market volatility.

Historically, the Nifty 200 Quality 30 TRI, which aligns with the fund’s thematic focus, has consistently delivered over 10% returns for investment horizons of 10 years.

From April 2005 to December 2024, this index has recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.6%, outpacing the Nifty 200 Value 30 TRI (16.7% CAGR) and the Nifty 500 TRI (15% CAGR).

While past performance does not guarantee future results, these metrics highlight the potential of the quality factor theme, the fund house said.

Speaking on the launch, Aashish Somaiyaa, CEO of WhiteOak Capital Asset Management Limited, said

, “Quality businesses with high governance standards, strong management, and robust cash flow profiles tend to perform better over the long term. After a period where markets favored value and cyclical businesses, 2025 is the right time to pivot towards quality.”

Somaiyaa also pointed out that markets are cyclical and mean-reverting, making this shift a logical move for long-term investors.

The fund will allocate 80%–100% of its portfolio to equity and equity-related instruments following the Quality Factor theme.

An additional 0%–20% will be invested in equity of other companies, while debt securities, money market instruments, REITs, and InvITs will form the remainder.

The fund is managed by Ramesh Mantri, Trupti Agarwal, Dheeresh Pathak, and Piyush Baranwal.

Ramesh Mantri, CIO of WhiteOak Capital Asset Management said, “Our goal is to invest in companies with strong fundamentals at attractive valuations. This approach allows us to construct a diversified portfolio across sectors and market caps, prioritizing quality stocks for long-term returns.”

WhiteOak Capital Group, the parent company, manages equity assets worth ₹80,053 crores as of December 2024.

Founded by Prashant Khemka, former CIO of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the group operates with research teams in India, Singapore, and Spain and caters to clients across Asia and Europe.
